River Ridge Commerce Center, formerly Indiana Army Ammunition Pl

Indiana Army Ammunition Plant

As the Indiana Army Ammunition Plant, the area on the left of the screen was the HOP. The igloos are near the Ohio River with the bag loading facilities above and Military Family Housing to the lower right and the seven Ranney Wells between that and the river. IOW Plant 2 was the large industrial development on the right side of the screen, with Black Powder to the lower right. This was the extreme southwest corner of IOW Plant 2, which stretched upstream for several miles. Rose Island was below the Black Powder plant where the 14 Mile Creek joins the Ohio. Devil's Backbone can be seen between 14 Mile Creek and the Ohio. This area is now part of Charlestown State Park.
